Summary of tour
Our pilgrimage begins in Warsaw with both spiritual and historical significance. Then we move on to Czestochowa where we will see the miraculous Black Madonna as well as the Franciscan Friary founded by St. Maximilian Kolbe, O.F.M. We then travel to Wadowice, the birthplace of Pope John Paul II, seeing his family home and parish he grew up in. Then to Krakow where Karol Wojtyla served as Archbishop prior to being elected pope. Also visit the salt mine 54 floors below the surface and the Church of St. Kinga, entirely carved from salt. Along the way learn historical facts and information during our travels about Poland. Our final day we will visit the Nazi concentration camp Auschwitz-Birkenau and visit Oskar Schindler’s Enamel Factory, which is now a museum.
Continue the journey by attending the once a decade Oberammergau Passion Play in Germany..We will also visit Rothenburg ob der Tauber, the Gutenberg Museum in Rudensheim to see the first Bible, plus we have an excursion on the Rhine river to see the Lorelei Rock
